1 Seraphs burning with gods' love The highest order of
angels are the Seraphim. These are the angels of love, light, and fire. They
are referred to as the "Burning Ones" because they are aflame with love. They
have six wings, a set over their face, one set over their feet, and another set
for flying. They are always wearing white. 2 Cherubs - many-eyed intellectual Cherubim are second and have four wings. They are the angels of wisdom or One Who Prays". They are the first angels mentiond in the Bible. The Cherubim are also the record keepers of Heaven. 3 Thrones are third and have four wings and four faces. The faces they have are a man, a lion, an ox, and an eagle. They are often referred to as the "Wheels" or the "Many-Eyed Ones". They are the angels of justice and carry out God's will. |

5 Virtues are fifth. They are the "Brilliant" or "Shining Ones". They are the angels of miracles, encouragement, and blessings. They also help people who are struggling with their faith. 6 Powers are sixth. They protect the world from the infiltration of demons. At death they also guide souls into Heaven. |

7 Principalities are seventh. They protect religions. For example, Guide Religious thought people such as the Pope. 8 Archangels are eighth. They carry God's message to humans. Archangels in traditional beliefs and lore, the Guardian angels are Archangels, and each of us gets one at birth to guide us in life. There are seven Archangels named in the Bible. They are: Chamuel, Gabriel, Jophiel, Michael, Raphael, Uriel, and Zadkiel. 9 Angels are ninth. They are the closest to humanity and visit the earth the most often. Angels carry out particular tasks. |
