King Arthur Final Resting place was on Avalon, the magical island of Morgan le Fay, King Arther's Half sister, Once Lover and Nemesis during his Life. Avalon is also called "the enchanted isle", "isle of apples", "Insuls Avallonis or "the Fortunate Isles". Avalon is magical sanctuary where spirits have special powers. "Excalibur" was forged there Arthur was healed there by magic. King Arthur is now entombed there to someday magically become alive and return to his former Magistery. Morgan le Fay had a strange Love/Hate relationship with King Arther. King Arther's Son by Morgan le Fay, Mordred who hated Lancelot, insist on accusing him of treason and adultery and made public. Arthur gives leave to Mordred to seize Lancelot, who escaped to France. By the time King Arther returned. Mordred, left behind to rule England, seized the crown and tries to also seize Guinevere, who resists. Arthur returns to England, and in a great battle finds Mordred, killing him with a spear thrust. But the dying Mordred deals a mortal blow to Arthur.
Sir Bedivere helps Arthur to the waterside, and is told to casts his sword into the lake. An arm comes out of the water to take the sword, and then disappears.
The mortally wounded Arthur is then taken on a fairy barge and
carried away to Avalon, the land of immortal heroes. And when they left
the land, and Sir Bedivere seen all those ladies go away from him. Sir
Bedivere than cried: Ah my lord Arthur, what shall become of me, now
you are gone from me and leave me here alone among my enemies?
Glastonbury was the Isle of Avalon. Upon an oak coffin is the
inscription on a lead cross which says "Here lies buried the renowned
King Arthur with Guinevere his second wife in the Isle of Avalon. and
upon his tomb, was written " was Here lies Arthur, the once and future
