The Four Noble Truths
1st Nobel Truth or Dukkha Suffering is a part of human life. Birth, old age, sickness and death are all suffering.
2nd Nobel Truth or Tanha The Buddha discovered what causes suffering is our desire for sensuous things, clinging to
things that, by their nature lead to suffering.
3rd Nobel Truth or Nibbana There is state beyond suffering
4th Nobel Truth or Eightfold Path The way to avoid suffering is to
follow the right way of thinking laid out in the Buddha's Eight Fold Path.
The Eight Fold Path.
1. Right Understanding, The world is as it is. Avoid filtering thoughts (i.e.: greed, hate, delusion, lust and like that) our will always have a different (usually worse) result than we would have
guessed.
2. Right Mindedness, Avoid . lust, ill-will and cruelty.
3. Right Speech,to abstain from lying, tale-carrying, use of harsh or vain talk.
4. Right Action Right Action is to abstain from killing, stealing and harming others for your own benefit.
5. Right Living is to avoid wrong way of living and to get ones livelihood by right way of living.
6. Right Effort consists of the Four Great Efforts:
a) the effort to avoid evil and worthless things,
b) to overcome, evil and sinful things
c) to develop disciple strives to create good,
d) and to maintain existing virtues
7. Right Attentiveness leads to the attainment of purity, overcoming of sorrow, worry, pain, grief, pursuit of right path to reach peace and Nirvana.
8. Right Concentration, is to fix the mind on a single object.
