| The Cross Road |
The cross roads of life is when a life changing decision is being made. When situations arise that we know will change the course of out life, we know we must evaluate what is important to us in life. To some extent, we are at a cross road an any given moment of our lives in that each choice we make sets up in a direction that changes our destination and therefore the course of our lives. To worry excessively whether we should do this thing or that thing is not good either. Out subconscious mind usually knows the right answer. If not, we need to look at our core beliefs and values. Maybe we never thought that things we assumed to be true, aren't. Maybe look at things that always seem to get us in trouble. Maybe look at them as if someone else were doing them and see if they seem reasionable. Anyway, at times of mini cross roads, when an inner voice speaks to us, is the time to pay attention. These are the times we make decisions that change our lives. If we are in the habit of always taking the easy way out for the moment, and especially if we blame others for our "Bad Luck", most likely we are our own worst enemies. To constantly do the easy thing when we really know the hard thing is called for than complain about the results is a sure mark of a failure. This is not to say that we should not enjoy life. To live, to love, to laugh, smile, and generally be happy is what life is about. Life is also about having character and doing the "right" thing when it is called for. Today is the precious present, we are here because of what we did in yesterday's "today" and as we will be in tomorrow's "today". Enjoy today to the fullest, but know when we are at a crossroads. Life is always changing, so the things we did in the past may not be right this time. Besides we now how they turned out, so we know what works and what doesn't. Today is always the first day of the rest or our lives and we should enjoy today as long as don't have to pay for it in the future.
