Erebus, darkness and the underground

The universe always had material but it was in a state of Chaos. Within Chaos was air, land and water atoms which were always fighting each other. Eventually land collected together, was surrounded by water and engulfed by air.

The mountains became romantically infatuated with the seas. The mountains and seas mated to produce (Through "Parthenogenesis")

  • Erebus (darkness and the underground) was brother the of Gaia and Nyx.
    • Gaia (Earth). who in her sleep gave birth to her husband, Uranus (God of the sky) and is a decedents of the Titans.
    • Nyx (Night and negativity)
    • Erebus (darkness and the underground and general slime ball.

    Manes

The manes were the souls of departed people in the In Hades is the down-flowing waters of Styx, and a ferry man who must be paid. It was custom to put a coin under the tongue of the dead (Romans on the eyes).

Erebus His name was given to the gloomy cavern through which the dead had to walk to reach Hades.

Hades and some other judges would judge the manes more or less fairly. If the manes lives a good or heroic life they spent eternity in all happiness in the Isles of the Blest or Elysium, are called Immortals.

Otherwise in Erebus' world, Tartarus Erebus has no mercy.

Tartarus is the lowest abyss beneath the earth where all waters originate; all rivers flow into the chasm of Tartarus and flow out of it again. Tartarus is, they say, a gloomy place as far distant from earth as earth is from the sky. Tartarus and the Underworld are the realm of Erebus, which is pure Darkness.
