In my opinion, Angels as I am refer to them are not necessarily of any particular appearance such as wings, halos and that. Nor are they of any one religion.

The most common reference to angels. is that they are messengers from God. Mostly they warn of danger, influence a decision.

Perhaps when a person comes along who you never seen before or since, and provides some kind of help or guidance, they may, in fact be angels.

A personal experience in 1952, November 21st has influenced my thinking on the matter. It was in the news papers.

When I was about 10 years old, just before Thanksgiving I came across an unattended row boat and pushed it into the water of Newark bay. Picked up a piece of wood for an oar.

Well the tide took me and I lost the "oar", was going out to sea. By this time I was closer to the other side of the bay.

The predicted hurricane struck, I was cold, I was wet, it got dark, I was scared.

No I am not really very religious, but I started to pray. I saw a beam of light coming from the dark sky and seemed to hear "float on the rafter" (On the bottom of the boat is a rafter to keep the feet dry).

Went overboard with the rafter. Next thing I knew I was grasping at the muddy shore, still carrying my book bag. Guess I went to sleep in the swamp a while.

The lights of Newark were on the horizon and I walked a couple of hours towards them. It was just dawn when I came upon a road. Seen a house, knocked on the door.

The lady had heard about me. It was on the news, they were looking for my body. She guided me to the police station, they took me to the hospital. No one thought I would still be alive.

There are times we looking for guidance or help, I feel hunches or gut feelings are God answering you.

So I more consider angels as guides and protectors than having the appearance of an "Angel" Anyway I have a positive feeling about angels.
