In Greek and Roman Mythology Mermaids were daughters of Neptune, and like to surround themselves with beauty and love. Often seen combing their long flowing hair while watching them selves in a mirror to make them selves beautiful.

Mermaids are female and seem to like to be admired by men. Some legends portray mermaids as having befriended humans lived among them.
