Merry-Go-Round

The Merry Go Round

The Merry-Go-Round, the carousel. Surest way to thrill a child and bring back happy memories of childhood. A trip to the big top had many many secrets, impressions and memories from so long ago. Cheerful melodies, the ringmaster, treats, such as peanuts, taffy, caramel corn, candy apple, ice cream

The merry-go-round was a feast for a small person's eyes and ears, even if he was too timid to ride alone. There was always, if you were patient, an empty red rocker where you could sit to watch the horses spin, the scenery revolve, the riders grab rings, and the band organ beat out its marches, waltzes, and foxtrots.
The excitement was contagious for everyone, especially at night, when the merry-go-round was lit and full of kids.

The brass ring had its own sound. The jingle sound of the rings made as they were collected on kids arms and the continuous rapid "clip-clip-clip-clip" as kids grabbed the rings.
The dull clunk of rings tossed into the canvas return box. Sometimes a well aimed ring hit the bell in the return box.

As we go around the Merry-Go-Round of life. Enjoy the excitement, go with the flow, ride it fully, stay for the whole ride, and Never forget to go for the brass ring.
