The Messenger said that Agnes had been born. The Creator said lovingly: Watch over her.

Agnes Bookworth parents, Edith and John loved Agnes. She could not plough or help much to scrape a meager existences from the barren Kansas soil land at the turn of the century. Agnes helped any way she could and brought Joy to their family.

Agnes always loved books and loved to go to school. Once she was sent to the Principal's office and was about to be expelled for not dissecting a frog, but the messenger put a blessing into the Principal's heart.

Agnes worked for the local tailor and pulled the family through the "Dust Bowl" days of the 30s while following her dream of a college education. Agnes worked very hard. It was her proudest day when she graduated as an honor student.

Agnes became a teacher, she loved to develop young minds, The students loved her, she taught both the words and the spirit of the writing. From her the future doctors learned Compassion, the business man, Honesty, the craftsman, pride in workmanship, and all had Honor and love in their lives.

Agnes continued to teach long after she reached retirement age. Her students were always calling or writing to her. Agnes patiently helped each, it was not work to her, It was her Calling.

Agnes volunteered in the school library into her 90s, even the books she loves became too heavy for her frail body.

And the Creator said to the Messenger Agnes is old and tired, she had spent her life well and touched so many lives, it is time to bring her home.
