PHOEBE

Daughter of Uranus and Gaia. She married her brother Coeus and was the mother of Leto and Asteria.

She is associated with Artemis as moon-goddess. The name is the feminine form of Phoebus, the name of her twin brother Apollo as sun-god.

She owned the oracle of Delphi before Apollo took it over.
