IRISH FARIES

 



    A belief in faeries has always existed in many
    cultures and is different to each.

    The word "faery" originally came from the Latin
    "fatae", meaning the Fates. It also meant "faerie,
    a state of enchantment, a spiritual place or
    spirits who lived there and had magical powers.

    Faeries were one species of supernatural creatures
    for are generaly good spirits like angels.
    As in mythology in general, they had powers over
    certain forces in nature, and in fact caused them.
    They are like angels but a bit devilish.
    "fairies" is recognized all over.
                     

    Their are many ways to spell the word:
    fairy,faerie, fae, fairies and faery.
